Cash Pulse ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Cash Pulse mobile application and website (cashpulse.app). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

  • Financial data: Bank account balances, transaction history, recurring bills, and income data accessed through our integration with Plaid.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns within the app.
  • Communication data: Information you provide when contacting our support team.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Generate daily cash flow projections and identify danger zones in your upcoming balance.
  • Send push notifications and alerts when your projected balance drops below your safety threshold.
  • Enable shared household access so you and your partner can view the same dashboard.
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our services.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Plaid Integration

Cash Pulse uses Plaid Inc. as a data processor to securely connect to your bank accounts. When you link a bank account:

  • Your bank credentials are transmitted directly to Plaid and are never stored on Cash Pulse servers.
  • Plaid provides Cash Pulse with read-only access to your account balances and transaction history.
  • Plaid is SOC 2 Type II certified and uses bank-level 256-bit AES encryption.
  • You can revoke Plaid access at any time through your Cash Pulse account settings or directly at my.plaid.com.

Plaid's use of your data is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal or financial data. We may share information with:

  • Plaid Inc. — to facilitate bank account connections (as described above).
  • Service providers — hosting, analytics, and customer support tools that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal obligations — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights and safety.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, regular security audits, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account is active. Transaction data older than 24 months is automatically archived. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including rights under CCPA and GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
